Brain cells connections

Connect with your growing child right from the start

From the moment two people make an intimate connection to the moment you first connect with your growing child's eyes; bringing a child into the world is one of the greatest miracles you can achieve. As your little one learns and grows each day, there are also more tiny miracles taking place in them.

Their developing minds are made up of over 100 billion brain cells. On their own, brain cells are just building blocks. Only when 2 brain cells start connecting is when learning happens. The more brain cells connect, the faster learning happens. Here are 2 ways to encourage brain cell connections in your little one.

Early connections matter

The first three years of life are a period of incredible growth in all areas of your little one’s development. At birth, your little one’s brain is about 25% of its approximate adult weight. But by age 3, it would have grown exponentially by producing billions of cells and hundreds of trillions of connections, or synapses, between these cells. Therefore, spend as much quality time as you can with your child during their early years as they’ll learn to see, hear, and do the things you do.

Stimulate brain cell connections

There are many ways you can help your little one’s brain cells connect faster. Simple activities like talking to them, reading a bedtime story, singing a nursery rhyme or playing with toys will help stimulate their developing minds. Not only will these help with brain cell connections, you’ll also connect more strongly and deeply with your little one.
