The key is to communicate your needs, rest whenever you can, and delegate as many chores as possible. Well-meaning friends and family will understand and be happy to pitch in. For example, start bonding with your new little one and establishing your own routines until she’s at least a few weeks old, before your mom or mother-in-law comes to help. That way it won't be so hard to hand over a little responsibility and let her help you out with diapering, bathing, and feeding your little bundle of joy.
